7 Day Crime Profile: October 9-15, 2009

The following crimes were reported to the Columbus Police Department for the week of October 9, 2009:

Theft – October 12
1200 block of Chambers Rd

Bike valued at $400 stolen from Colony Club apartment building.

Theft from Vehicle – October 13
1300 block of Presedential Ave

Suspect smashed passenger side rear door of a Chevy Blazer and stole 2 12 gauge  Shotguns valued at $2100 and a left hand bow valued at $800.

The following crimes were reported to the Columbus Police Department for the week of October 2, 2009:

Theft – October 2
1100 block of Kinnear Rd

Between 4 am and 10 am on October 2, an ipod and other car stereo equipment valued at $650 were stolen from a vehicle of a 21-year-old male.

Breaking and Entering – October 2
1500 block of Arlington Ave

Between 2 pm October 2 and 8 am October 3 an unknown person broke a basement window to gain entrance to a vacant home. The unknown person removed copper waterlines from the home valued at $500.


Breaking and Entering – October 4
1500 block of Virginia Ave

Between 8:30 pm October 4 and 5:45 am October 5, an unknown offender unlatched a rear fence gate and entered the back yard. Offender then opened an unlocked entry door to a detached garage and removed $5 in coins from the unlocked vehicle which was parked in the garage.

Theft from Vehicle – October 4
1400 block of Aschinger Ave.

At 9 am on October 4, an unknown person busted the driver’s side window of a 2004 black Chevy Blazer and “tore up the dash” damaging the dash and audio equipment.


Theft from Vehicle – October 7
1200 block Olentangy River Rd

At 6:00 pm October 7, the victim parked her vehicle in the Fish Markets lot and entered the business. Unknown person(s) smashed out a window in her and took a black leather backpack, an unfilled prescription and 2 credit cards, which were later used at a gas station.
